PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

Brothers All,

I have taken over as the Public Relations Director for our Council. It seems that we have taken a few steps backwards in this area. Communication is a very important issue in any organizations functions, especially when its one such as ours that deals with many fundraisers. We need to know times, dates, and places so we can set up our volunteer list as soon as possible. This will allow us to get the best response to better serve our needs at that time.

We need to remember that unlike other Councils that have to support 3 or 4 Parishes, we are a self serving Council. We mainly serve St. Jude's, so most of our functions are for our School and Church. When we have fundraisers at the Cathedral, we really need to go all out and help with whatever needs to be addressed at that time as deemed by our Pastor.

I spoke with Fr. Waters last Sunday after 8:00 Mass and told him that I would be taking over as the P.R. man for the Council and he was all for having an open line of communication between himself and the Knights. He IS absolutely behind us 100%. Our District Deputy as well as our Field Agent are also all for the idea of better communication.

I am compiling a Council roster with e-mails & phone #'s. If you would rather have a different e-mail, please send it to me. Also send me your cell #. If you do not have a cell, a home phone will do. When sending #'s please specify if it's your cell or home #.

The information can be sent to: papabearchicago@yahoo.com or I can be reached at (727) 459-0352.

Also in the future if you have anything to report about Council functions, please relay them to me and I will make sure they get put in the proper publications.

If you can please do this as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your prompt response with this information.

Some of you may have already received an e-mail of this nature. Please be patient, I want to make sure everyone is contacted.

Vivat Jesus,

Dennis M. Kelly P.G.K.
